The Association Enoclub Siena renews the appointment with Sangiovese

this time in the historical center of our city,

at the two bastions Italian Enoteca di Siena,

with the help and availability Ente Vini.





The Italian Wine is historically a key center for the dissemination of the wine culture in Italy: here was born the forerunners of Vinitaly, the "Exhibition of Traditional Wine Market", with the first edition in 1933. And it is now that these areas require a retraining program and high-profile relaunch. Given that it is a cultural institution of our city, we felt it was the right way to realize that a "system" that is too often simply newspeak.
It 'so important that a traveling event like Thoroughbred Sangiovese takes place here and now, aiming to improve the use of operators and national and international communicators, with a wider conference program, improved compared to the experience of last year in Pontignano 2015 with specific moments of study devoted only to professional.
Optional dinners will be moments for further discussion between producers and journalists / guest workers. Friday night at dinner there is also an outside separate program for high-level fans with a vertical historical old vintages of Chateau d'Yquem, with the world-renowned expert Roger Christian (Wine and Finance) as a speaker and a studied combination food and wine throughout the meal, in order to provide additional incentives for those who decide to follow our event.
The program will have an appendix Sunday, November 13 with a full day dedicated to the historical vertical of 16 vintages of Brunello di Montalcino Biondi Santi, in the event hall of the Company Romulus and Remus, Contrada della Lupa.

Thursday, November 10
An entire day dedicated to the tasting room in the Exhibition Italian Enoteca, with only the journalists, with sommelier service without producers and a list of about 300 wines basis proposed Sangiovese. Each taster will have its own space for tastings, a list of wines available, with indications of the area and the blend. On this occasion we will ask manufacturers to propose, in addition to the newer wines and some old vintages, vintage Sangiovese 2006, on the tenth anniversary of the harvest. A good time for a technical survey of specific vintage, wide Sangiovese horizontal integration of various areas.
Friday, November 11
In the conference room of the bastion of San Filippo in the Medici Fortress-Enoteca Italian will take a refresher conference with technical assistance for members of the industry / wineries, edited by ICT systems. The afternoon will start the activities to the public at the tasting tables. The wines to be offered for tasting will agree them at the time of the event. Producers will be arranged in the area of ‚Äč‚Äčorigin, so as to communicate consistent exposition of the territories. For some important guests selected journalists, expected a further prestigious chance for reflection with the vertical Brunello de The Marroneto.
Saturday, November 12
The most dynamic and varied day. For the morning the headquarters of the event will move to the streets of the station in the auditorium of the University for Foreigners, for the scientific / academic conference that we called "Sangiovese Academy." This is a classroom for very large amphitheater, with over 350 seats, modern, with a cutting-edge technological equipment, the University for Foreigners of Siena has generously made available.
