By the seventeenth edition, the festival Jazz & Wine in Montalcino has been confirmed as one of the most enduring and well-known festivals in the Italian music scene. Born from the collaboration between Banfi, the note winery in Montalcino, the cultural association Jazz & Image of Rome and the Municipality of Montalcino, this year the festival offers a program of the highest level, with Italian and international artists worldwide magnitude. As usual, the opening concert - Tuesday, July 15 - will be held within the historic walls of Castello Banfi, with the performance of Deidda Brothers plus A. Ariano and P. Need. From 16 July, the festival will move to the fourteenth-century Fortezza di Montalcino with the project "In JAZZ", an original musical tribute to the great Lucio Battisti. It continues Thursday, July 17th with a stellar trio: Danilo Perez on piano, John Patitucci on bass and Brian Blade on drums. The three outstanding musicians, known throughout the world for their ten-year collaboration with the legendary Wayne Shorter, present "Children Of The Light", a magical and wondrous mix between jazz and Latin sounds. To get on the stage of Jazz & Wine Friday, July 18 another amazing trio, The Bad Plus Their music combines elements of avant-garde jazz, influenced pop and rock escaping, however, for each classification of gender, infinite exploration possibility of three musicians who play at the highest value in perfect harmony. Saturday, July 19th is the time of Herbie Goins & Mauro Zazzarini Blues Inn, the upscale soul-blues singer of international fame and one of the best saxophonists in Italian jazz-blues and not only form a pair unpublished, for a concert that ranges from blues to funk, to jazz. To close this extraordinary edition of the festival, Sunday, July 20, Incognito. For thirty years on the crest of the wave, the band has always been the home of great musicians, and on and off at different times, took part in the adventure of the group.
